Truck topples light

You can’t sleep in this town and run Hoboken411! After getting 3 hrs of sleep a day for 4 straight months, I decide to take an Ambien last night to finally get “re-charged”. Well, lots of stuff happens while you’re in la-la land.

An hour or two ago, a truck knocked this traffic light over by First and River. Thanks Patrick for the pictures!

Didn’t I already suggest that truck size be limited in Hoboken? More damage like this, and don’t be surprised if it happens eventually. It just takes a council person or city official to get their car smashed.

Just what the construction officer feared.

Actually, there is no such thing as a 60′ truck… The largest trailer allowed on highways is 53 feet in length (I deal with shipping quite often)…
And even that would almost certainly be barred from entering Hoboken… 😀

11th is one of the wider cross town streets and is actually quite popular with the truckers.

I think the better question is what’s a Target truck in Hoboken at all? Going from Edgewater to JC? Maybe truck/no truck routes would be good. Can the city leaglly ban trucks over XX tons except for local deliveries?
