Elks Lodge hosts St. Paddy’s Event

Hoboken Elks Lodge No. 74 honors James O’Connor in 2012

For those looking for the most genuine St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Hoboken – look no further than the Hoboken Elks Lodge No. 74 at 10th and Washington Streets.

This Saturday, March 17th at 3pm – their annual St. Patrick’s Day party starts, with James O’Connor being honored as the 2012 Irishman of the Year.

Also up for honors is the Cunning Family and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. At least they get the respect they deserve here, rather than be victims of a traditional parade cancellation.

Cost is $15 bucks at the door, and you can be assured the party will last well into the wee hours!

Oh, the BLARNEY will be for sure flying there! The only HONOR I will enjoy is the real
one for St. Patrick….and the real one for the real Parade which was not started by this group! We marched back in the sixties here and seventies without any bar owners in charge! I can feel the bad politics already….

Wouldn’t put it past the mayor to cancel the elks club altogether along with every other business her and her cronies don’t support. She’d better hurry though, 2013 is coming soon.
