(false) Fire Alarms at Hoboken High

I typically don’t need to post every “false alarm” in Hoboken, as 99%+ of responses by the HFD are indeed nothing. I don’t have the time or resources to be an “Ambulance Chaser”.. kind of lame, right?

Today, however, the rains caused a water leak in the third floor of Hoboken High School, and tripped a heat detector.

I can say a lot is Stevens. The mix of new cookers, and over-senstive (but safe) fire detections systems, are a sure fire way to get HFD some time out and about.

Today something simular happened in my appartment building. The alarm went off at 7, 7:15, and then every half hour or so untill lunch-ish. Dam rain.
I would say even 99.5%

All the centrally monitored alarm systems send off every smoke detector event, and most times it’s either “careless cooking” or “workers in the apartment” or “water leak”…

The HFD must go out at least 10 times or more a day..
Def more cause i live near the one house and its loud as hell when they come out.. There were many fires this past year alone and a few so far this year..
