UPDATE: Kat’s Media Coordinator advised me that the McDonalds concert has been postponed until mid-September. Sorry to get everyone so giddy about this show featuring this hot new Hoboken resident. While you sit on the edge of your seats, I’ll be sure to update you when the date & location gets formalized.

8/7/2007:

Next week, McDonald’s Live concert series is featuring Kat DeLuna, Hoboken resident and the up-and-coming hip hop artist of hit song “Whine Up.” The free concert takes place at the Garden State Parkway’s Brookdale Service Plaza McDonald’s (Mile Post 152) on Tuesday, August 14 at 6pm in Bloomfield. This is a part of McDonald’s Live, a free ten-city concert tour.

Although the concert is not taking place in Hoboken, 19 year old Kat DeLuna does currently live here. She also has quite a few connections to New Jersey. At age 9, Kat and her family moved from the Dominican Republic to Newark. When she was 14, Kat was accepted to the New Jersey School of Performing Arts. Kat’s first album, 9 Lives, debuts today, August 7.

I hear that she is playing at Lounge 11 and the Tony’s are going to give her a Fast & Furious car ride through the City.

I hear that she is going to sign on Bloomfield before the world’s most dangerous fireworks show goes off this year.

BTW – my 2 year old can sing better

i actually like that song. who knows whether she can back it with any other ones, time will tell.

i agree though…that is a funny appearance – a NJ rest-stop. i guess you have to start somewhere though; hard work pays off.
