Jess - email the site owner at hoboken411@gmail.com

He may be able to provide more information from the person who sent in the snapshots.

I can tell since that shopright has been there they have had a few smashed cars like this on that street.. the pull out of the loading dock and make the left on to first to get back on Madison(I guess) to head north and out of town.

Hi all, this is my car above!!! I have a question how someone knows this happened betweem 2:30-3 p.m. on Thursday? Did someone see something? Any information is appreciated. I thought it happened later at like 11 p.m. but maybe I didn't notice my care when I got home that evening. I was also shocked at how much the HPD could have cared less - they didn't even come to the car and gave me my own accident report to fill out! WHAT?!?!? We all pay a lot of money to live in this town and that's bullshit.

I am sure glad that is not my car. I feel bad for the owner that has to deal with it. I wish the Hoboken cops like the ones described above would feel that way.

i have consistantly heard negative comments from policemen regarding the residents of hoboken for +10yrs. i don't think the majority of the officers differentiate between the man on the street and city hall. they have plenty of complaints about city hall, as do most of the community, but seems their moral is low and it reflects on their opinion of the community they service. perhaps a DUI conviction of Campos will help? the problem may be that the favoritism that has been charged by a number of officers in lawsuits is true, and that the leadership has been there way too long? bad moral = bad relations with the community. i blame the mayor.

By the way, there is no lighting around the perimeter at night. I reached out to the former councilman there a few months ago, via a link on this site(not sure, was it Cricco?)telling him the mess that these three blocks are. Of course, nothing got done. Shocker.
What's the deal with the building being built directly across from the Shoprite parking lot? There is no protective fencing around the building. You can walk right onto the construction site, or into the building at night if you want to. Seems to me that that must be some kind of building permit violation. I only thought of it because I park down that way sometimes.
Terragon Ursa concoction I believe, you should reach out to them and inquire. Overall, they have done a poor job around that site particularly on the Southern perimeter bordering 8th. There is no sidewalk and you have to walk in the street to get to the light rail. Oh well.

I reported an incident at the Jefferson Trust Bank. I noticed someone smashed a window large enough for someone to get in.

When the patrolman finally did show up he seemed annoyed that I bothered him, because he was pretty hostile to me right off the bat. I am always very considerate to police, I don't mess with them and give them a hassle. I couldn't figure out WTF this guy's problem was.

I am an expert on VW mirrors, having owned a Jetta for many years and having my car was subject to the whims of the mirror snapping hoodlums in town. What you see on the ground is the outside shell (you can see through it to the ground) of the VW mirror, while the guts and the glass stayed attached to the car by the wires. This has all the makings of a low speed impact perhaps a large truck or tractor trailer hitting the door then ripping off the mirror then crunching the fender. With all of the accidents over the last few yearson that block you would think by now there would be cones or no parking signs by now.
