Wow bearclaw we probably wouldn't like the same bars. I actually find it dispointing that they don't have more live music. I've never heard a jazz band there before but have caught some blues shows. Its a good break from the same old Hoboken bar with awful music playing in it. I also wish more people would listen to jazz. There are so many good cutting edge jazz bands out there. The Charlie Hunter album "Baboon Strength" and Medeski Martin and Wood's Radiolarian Series are some to check out. All new and probably not what you perceive as traditional jazz. Hoboken is a young town now and although I can only speak for the people I know, none of my friends between the ages of 25-30 do not enjoy jazz bands. It would be great to never see a band in here again, but that may just be wishful thinking. Well I would just like to say thank you for mostly getting rid of these bands, I am a loyal customer now and will be for as long as I live in Hoboken.

Well, obviously you don't listen to music since the bands playing there are generally BLUES bands, not Jazz bands. So did you go in there because your homies at Green Rock had a line? You wanted to go back to your fratastic ways and play beer pong? You sound like an awfully pathetic guido. Did you catch the hair gel sale at CVS this week? Scotland Yard used to be a great place for live music. The new owners turned it into a glorified frat with beer pong and such. I didn't know they even had bands anymore since most of the musicians who played there followed the old staff over to the Dubliner. In response to bearclaw0011 who said:

Re 64.: Thanks for the update! Christine is great—great to know where she’s moved on to.

Loved this place when it was still “Redheads.” All those great cheesecake-photos of the owner.

Ditto re the long-gone/fondly-remembered Fabian’s BrauHaus. Weiss beer and a great Sinatra/polka jukebox.

Long a fixture of the Hoboken live music scene, Christine Santelli and Friends have moved their shows to a new location, The Dubliner @ 96 River St, Hoboken.

There are three jams every week. All shows feature outstanding performances by talented professional and amateur artists in a warm atmosphere with a friendly community of enthusiasts. Never a cover!

Saturday Blues Jam 4:00 – 7:00 : Hosted by VD King, this open jam is mostly electric blues format.

Sunday Singer/Songwriter Series 9:30 – 1:30 : Hosted by Christine Santelli and Mike Frensley, this is an acoustic-oriented session with an emphasis on original material.

Monday Blues Jam 9:30 – 1:30 : Hosted by Big Ed Sullivan, this electric blues jam is one of the longest running open jams in the NJ/NYC area.
