The only pro is that the quality of work is very good. As for the cons, these guys are expensive just as the other reviewers have said, but that’s not the worst of it. I can live with expensive (almost twice as much as other places) as long as I know what I am getting into. Having read the prior reviews before going there, I specifically asked for the price. I was hesitantly given a quote and explained why certain alterations would cost more than the other. Knowing the quote I turned over the garments for alteration. Upon pick up I was asked to pay a significantly more than original quote. They tried to chalk it up to misunderstanding. I tried to tell them that they should absorb the price difference since it was their mistake, but he would not take the amount quoted and demanded higher amount. Whatever happened to good old fashioned honest business??? I was going to drop off a ton of new summer clothes for alteration, but I will take my business elsewhere. If you got a lot of money and don’t mind turning over some of it to these guys, but not knowing how much even after getting a quote, go here, otherwise I recommend you find another place.

I’ve used them ALOT for major suit alterations. They know clothes, the drape, everything and were able to tailor a suit from a size 12 to a size 6 and adjust pockets, jacket length etc. Very talented. Defnitely pricier than most but worth it.

I’ve used Italmoda several times for womens suit jackets and pants. Excellent job, nice lady.

Colin – just don’t be alarmed when Maria fails to give you a receipt/ticket/whatever when you drop off. It’s a little off-putting at first but she does remember exactly what you brought in believe it or not.

I’ve visited four or five times – never had a problem.
I USED to have my suits altered there. Unfortunately, I could not get through to the guy that the traditional suit pants should be hemmed with a one inch break. He insisted that the sloppy look of clumped-at-the-shoes larger breaks was how it should be done.

Just tonight I picked up newly hemmed suit pants from Maria (on Hudson across from Sushi Lounge) and once again, they were perfect and half the price the Willow guy charges.
Thanks man!!
