Adams Dry Cleaners & Laundromat – Done
Adams Dry Cleaners busted by Sandy – moves to 1st St.
Another victim of Hurricane Sandy here in Hoboken. Adams Dry Cleaners situated at the corner of 4th & Adams was also decimated by the
poor city planning storm surge, and decided to call it quits in this neighborhood.
They’ve moved into the spot at 258 First Street downtown.
That must stink for the residents in this area that relied on Adams Dry Cleaners for all their laundry needs. Now they’ll have to schlep heavy bags of clothing even further. Perhaps a daring entrepreneur will fill the empty spot with a comparable business. But with how Hoboken Floods – I’d probably recommend against that.
Maybe now’s the time to invent really high quality, low-cost disposable clothing? Wait a minute – they already have disposable clothing. It’s called my entire wardrobe! They don’t make anything like they used to any more… Planned obsolescence!
Here’s where they operate now – out of Riverside Laundromat:
