Party with Purpose is having their annual 5k Race and 1 Mile Fun Run along the Hoboken waterfront tomorrow, July 17th.
This is a charity run which benefits The Hoboken Boys and Girls Club and The Jubilee Center.
The race for adults starts at 7:00pm, and the kids run starts at 6:30pm.
Here is how you can register:
- Online at Active.com ($25 fee)
- In person at Fleet Feet
- Mail the registration and pledge form (hurry)
- The day of the race (get there early)
After the 1 mile fun run, the kids will be treated to a party just for them including jugglers, games and tons of fun. Medals will be given to all race finishers.
The adults take center stage with their race starting at 7:00 pm. An awards ceremony will be followed by a special happy hour at Trinity featuring free appetizers and drink specials.

this event was like a metaphor for the social stratification of hoboken, ha ha ha!!
and why is the city of hoboken serving lunch to “hoboken residents only” at 10 locations all over town, including at the city parks and the housing authority? i mean, WTF? did this town suddenly become a a socialist experiment and i missed the memo? seriously. IS THE CITY PAYING TO FEED PEOPLE EVERY DAY? WTF ??

Well I, for one, am glad to know that the same kids who would mug me and my friends at least get to do it on a full stomach. I’d hate to see how they act if they’re starving.
