Hoboken is still better than New York!

Hoboken residents still feel better on this side of the Hudson River

Some may say the “Mile Square Flight” has picked up a bit over the past couple years – with couples and families fleeing Hoboken because of the bloated property taxes (as well as city hall salaries).

However, that doesn’t mean everyone is splitting town, and many of the people I’ve talked to (and choose to stay) put up with the exorbitant costs because “Hoboken is in a very unique position. Close to NYC and the shore points but still somewhat safe. Plus, what other options are left these days?”

Here’s to Hoboken being Hoboken!

I also don’t think about constant water main breaks and roads crumbling and collapsing beneath my feet or our car in New York.

We have ding o lings riding anywhere but in the bike lanes/ her majesty set up for the numbnuts…They are exempt from stop lights and one wacko headed right towards me near the ymac a year ago..As far as the ground falling in,keep in mind you wanted change and development and semis come in pullling rebair steel pre fab sheetrock etc ,and then we have the inclement weather. on the way..Read/gonna be the worst in years..So many shims can take the ferry to nyc and ride that similar path and get a view of what was once a nice town .I think Atlantis sunk as well but not for over development…Hoboken is the closest city there is next to hong kong ,and malysia..It’s so much fun…golly totatly awesome. 😆
I also don’t think about constant water main breaks and roads crumbling and collapsing beneath my feet or our car in New York.
Gramps, I get it. But I didn’t ‘vote’ for overdevelopment (or continued development) and I sure as hell don’t own property here.

You have me mistaken for someone else. But go have a drink or five now, and you’ll feel much better.
animal lover..surely you jest.. Oh, both of my gramps are long gone. That’s what happens, wiskey.

You need to stop referring to every member of the younger generations as being supportive of redevelopment/overdevelopment. Some of us don’t approve of it.

Don’t forget to insert your dentures now, and have a great day!
moosh You were not around to vote for redevelopment, for at the time you were trying to clear the zits from your mug..It was a done thing..the streets just cannot take the weight of 70,000 dump trucks and semis..In fact moosh moosh were not here during the renaissance .I gave an opinion and you responded with sarcasim for a dog walker in sweat pants..BTW hows your gramps?? Safe? NY is a breath of fresh air to not have to deal with the unsafe conditions of cyclist on sidewalks, running stop signs or otherwise not following the law. Unfortunately the city condones it by not having bicycle ordinances.

It’s ironic that I was walking the streets of NY thinking how relaxed it is. Don’t know why but people in Hoboken are like a cattle stampede going to and from the subway. Strollers blocking the sidewalks, residents not following traffic laws, overcrowding that is only rivaled by Banglore.

And let’s not forget the the city suppresses crime reports to make it appear safe. It is naive to think that Hoboken is safe.

Is this a trick picture 411? The angle seems off-Worldwide Plaza is on the far left but it’s actually at 50th Street so why is it in view? Also, wouldn’t the Empire State Building be in this picture too, then, since it is south of Worldwide and taller?
