Safe Rides Unlimited

Here we have a business that thrives on getting people to and from their (drinking) destination safely.
They’re currently trying to expand more into Hoboken, and offer some sensible ways to come and go to your party places. For one thing, if you DON’T live in Hoboken, and would like to visit certain places such as Hobson’s, or Lounge 11, you have a ride that can cater to your well being. Additionally, if you live in Hoboken and you want to go to certain places such as the Sand Bar (in Jersey City) or even places such as Bliss (Clifton) or Abyss (Sayerville), Safe Rides Unlimited can take you there without worry. Plus, you get to the front of the line, and do not have to pay cover.

Here’s what Bill Murphy, a representative of Safe Rides Unlimited had to say:
PLAN AHEAD PREVENT YOURSELF FROM DRUNK DRIVING WITHOUT PAYING FOR HIGH PRICED TAXI OR LIMO SERVICES!
Like everything else in our lives, if we help you plan your nights ahead of time, we can help you avoid drinking and driving. Safe Rides Unlimited (SRU) is a charitable 501 (c) 3 organization that provides realistic and effective safe ride solutions to college students and the general public!
SRU is not a taxi or a limousine service, instead, SRU has created the most unique and effective network of bars/clubs and transportation companies in order to provide low-cost safe rides and additional incentives from our member bars and clubs such as no cover charges and waiting on lines for safe rides users.
Utilize SRU’s friendly and hassle free services to arrange your night out, we will arrange any type of vehicle for you at extremely discounted rates. Then, we will work with our member clubs to make sure passengers avoid lines and cover charges as added incentives. SRU has arranged safe rides for over 50,000 people in the NY, NJ area in the last 2 years and the numbers are growing, proving that planning does work. So please, before your next night out, give us a call and let us help you avoid drunk driving.
The primary goal of Safe Rides Unlimited is to save peoples’ lives. Society suffers many ills, and Safe Rides Unlimited strives to reduce the epidemic of drunk-driving to a near non-existent state. Drunk-Driving has taken its toll on each of our lives, whether; we’ve been an innocent bystander or passenger in a drunk -driven car or lost friends or colleagues to drunk-driving accidents. No matter where you live or what your lifestyle, the epidemic of drunk-driving affects each one of us. Our organization provides a solution at the source. We are unique in our efforts, and by embracing bars and clubs and offering them realistic solutions for their patrons, Safe Rides’ rapid growth is proof that we are heading in the right direction. We are encouraged to create realistic alternatives for law-abiding venues and the hospitality-seeking public.
Safe Rides Unlimited evolved from the Syn3 Transport method, both having saved more lives in the past six months than any other committee involved in such a cause.
By implementing the Safe Rides Programs, WE WILL SAVE LIVES! Safe Rides Unlimited provides the most realistic and efficient model for reducing drunk-driving statistics.
“Drunk driving is not a disease or a health problem that cannot be cured, it’s a simple matter of choice and available options.” Moe Sattar/Founder

The link is wrong. It’s pointing to

when it should be pointing to

Also, no cover, skipping lines and no charge for the ride? Seems like i’m gonna lose a kidney or something when I get dropped off.

Fixed the link, thanks.
Also, it’s not a free ride, but sort of like a “Taxi with perks”….

The rides range anywhere between 5-30 per person depending on distance and type of vehicle. We also have bars such as Merge and Surf Club down the shore and Neptunes in the Hamptons. You can take any type of vehicles from vans to hummer limos to the new Porche Cayenne limo.
You can email me at bill-murphy@saferidesunlimited.org if you have any questions.

How about a pedi-cab for local trips…….?

This is the dumbest idea I have ever heard. A cab ride in Hoboken is $4.00… how much cheaper can these guys do this? I am sure the local cabs who pay huge amounts in medallion and insurance will sit by and not challenge this.
Why not promote drinking in moderation, instead of slogans like:
- “Hey get as hammered as you want and we will drive you around!”
- “Puke on our Scotch Guarded Seats… I dare you!”
- “Spend 4 hours round trip going to the Jersey Shore to drink (no open containers during trip FYI)”
- “Your parents will love us for facilitating you obtaining a .20 BAL after doing straight grain alchohol jelly shots at Bahama Mama’s

Yeah, not sure I understand either, a charity that offers porsche limos at a discount so you can get trashed. My guess its a scam to get the autos tax free and use them for other for profit or for personal uses. maybe I’m being too cynical.

We work with the bar owners and bar goers to get them to and from the establishment safely. We also work with transportation services to get discounted rates for the bar goers.
We offer discounted rides and other incentives because these people are being responsible adults. People are inevitably going to drink and SafeRides Unlimited realizes this. We want to make their night as safe as possible. In most states, drinking just 2 beers can land you a night in jail. Paying for a round trip to the bar that includes admission seems much better than thousands of dollars in fines and loss of license.
We are a nonprofit that is dedicated to making the streets safer while trying to stop the onslaught the government and groups like MADD have waged against the bars and clubs. We have to all work together to be responsible drinkers and SafeRides is just part of that.
