More effective Hoboken alcohol marketing

Two Hoboken Words: Get Drunk

Louise & Jerry’s and DC’s Tavern have a lot of things in common. But lately, they’re sandwich board marketing slogans have had the same simplistic vibe: Booze and getting drunk.

Earlier this summer, L&J’s marketed “Alko-haul,” and more recently DC’s invites patrons to come inside and simply “get drunk.”

Perhaps fancy messages are no longer necessary to twist the arm of potential drinkers. On that note, have a great weekend (hic!)

I’m pretty sure that runs afoul of laws that restrict alcohol advertising. Not that the bars in Hoboken follow all the laws for alcohol (e.g., serving people who are obviously drunk).

100% right. You can’t encourage excessive drinking in anyway. Plus, it’s just amazingly stupid from a liability standpoint.
