Reader Mail: Political Rubbish

No candidate is perfect and immune from coverage on Hoboken411.

Zimmer’s campaign long since vacated their headquarters on 411 First Street, but this nearby resident isn’t quite happy with the garbage left behind.

Maybe someone from her campaign can go there and ensure it gets cleaned up.

“Dear Hoboken411,

I am a resident near the official camp of Dawn Zimmer on 411 1st Street. I am not sure if this is where she is still setup or not or what her plan is there, but I am not happy with the condition in which she left the backyard area. She apparently uses it as a dumping ground for her old campaign signs. It looks like a dumpster back there filled with trash. I surly hope this is not a reflection of her idea of what the 4th ward is worth. God knows there is enough trash floating around Hoboken on the main streets. No need to fill it up in the back where people are trying to enjoy their backyard areas. I have been cleaning my own backyard from the trash that blows into it and its just frustrating.

I hope she takes notice that this is a reflection of her and being a member of the 4th Ward I am starting to be skeptical of who was really the more valid candidate.

political campaigns use posters that become litter the minute the election is over. one would assume that the litter on private property will be cleaned up. as far as the months old farina signs, they should have been taken down by municipal workers but jimmy is a very popular figure in their ranks. if he wasn’t he would have been voted off the school board many, many terms ago. some people with creative initiative have been replacing the “cl” with “j” on the signs. then the municipal workers take them down….

Perhaps Santa Claus did it.

I think it was FAP (who works with Dawn) who came on here multiple times to apologize, thanked people for bringing it up, and promised to clean it up immediately.

I’ll take one small messy yard over filthy streets, flooding, overdevelopment and being blasted at Council meetings by the elected officials that we pay.

Perhaps this photo was a set up?

Like others said, I’m sure if Zimmer’s team get’s access they’ll clean it up.

Now where’s the anger over all the Farina for County Clerk Posters still up Glued to utility poles?

I’m sure FAP is true to his word and this will be taken care of, but I wouldn’t be a true Hoboken Politcal junkie if I didn’t take a cheap shot:

Ms. Zimmer is truly “the new guard” in the City Council…the “old guard” waited til they were officially in office a few days before throwing shit all over town- she’s ahead of the curve.

OK done.
