Help Wanted in Hoboken

Many businesses need help in Hoboken

Unemployment in our country continues to be a problem, but it seems that many local businesses have help wanted signs hanging in their windows.

For instance, the upcoming San Giuseppe’s Coal Fired Pizza restaurant uptown (14th St. & Adams) is currently looking to fill many positions – including Pie-maker, sous chef, Maitre D’, and other wait and kitchen staff. Give Joe a call at (718)344-1602 if you or anyone you know is looking for quality work.

Additionally, you have Tilted Kilt Pub opening this month at 800 Jackson, and plenty of bars & restaurants that always have positions to fill due to turnover. So get cracking, people!

criss moosh listen up..family owned a fine dinning restuarent in edgewater few yrs ago unless rules changed, the waitress’s got paid re tips once a week for tax purposes so they would have to report earnings..number 2, the girls had to share with the bussboys that could make them look good or bad. Dish washers and bussboys most came from central americia or mexico…No earings hanging except in the ear..Most the employers sent money to famillies in Mexico, where they live 10 in one room.. Check out what a bartender earns if its on the level..chit,,tips are the key..Not entitled more than people that want to work hard…it’s to below the entitled ones to ever work like a pion..At least one of our employers came from busboy to chief ,and has a place in new mexico..he is greatfulll for what our family did for him..800 a night moosh lets start a dance team :)

WT1 – a lot of the bartenders and servers make decent $ in Hoboken depending on where, when and how many nights they work… Yes, they have to put up with drunken morons, but get decent tips in cash which they may or may not report as taxable income… I have heard as much as $300 to $400 cash on a Friday or Saturday night, that is pretty good…

I’ve heard of $800 or more per night if you’re an attractive girl tending bar just fifteen minutes away, in the city.

Actually, it’s not an opinion. The girl worked at a bar, not a restaurant in which she was required to share her tips.

In any case, we’re in a very different job market right now, my friend. Some need to get used to it.
yeah mooshu..not just tending bar or being a waitress…For 5600 per week i would shave my legs as well… wouldn’t you? funny one,but your opinion is just as good as anyone else.
on the money regard opinions.I’m stating factual experience..Depending on how many barmaids or what there labeled today may work the pub. orders from the waitress go to the bar in many places..As far as the watresses stand,I don’t remember that.i do know the busboy gets a share of tips from the watress. I observed how much the help had to comprimise the different additudes and not to my liking. There is nothing to get use to..One just throws the bar towel down and walks away..There is a difference in fine dinning and pubs that have limited menus..I know a woman that earned 600 to 800 a night in the executive boxes at the meadowlands and other stadiums.Show me where a person earns 800.00 and i will purchase hooter shorts and apply. 😉
Actually, it’s not an opinion. The signs are great. They get the unemployed out of the house and off the web but, overall, this is also a good way to get to know a candidate or an employer.

I can only imagine the mail they’d receive if ads were posted online.

MOOSHU What the hell are we gonna do ? strap our lap tops on our backs while working for minimum wage..A waitress bartender usually earns nothing..Then to take abuse from drunken morons ? Good idea -but lets find out what the pay scale is…Take a look in the kitchens..Mostly central american or mexican busboys and dish washers.
bottom line these places do not pay much..
The signs are great. See, this entitled attitude right here is why we have way too many snobs, snots, and brats walking around… who will eventually be punched in the face but I digress.

Ever heard of taking a job that’s, I don’t know, available? Pay is pay, and a job doesn’t have to be at a bar. In fact, the ad up there is for restaurant positions, not bartending positions although I know of people who’ve made enough money to pay their rent in just one weekend of bartending.

But no, you and others go ahead and sit back and wait for that six-figure salary job that’s going to magically fall in your laps. Have fun.
