Small Fire 131 Washington St.

Reports of a “working fire” on the roof of 131 Washington Street. Reportedly caused by an unattended BBQ on the roof. It seems to be small (they said “4 x 4”).
Luckily someone called this in!

12:05am: Fire reported knocked down. They’re sending in thermal imaging units to ensure no remaining flames.

What’s up with people who don’t get that bar-b-que tar is not edible?

This is fire.

This is tar.

This is your brain.

This is your brain on, wait… where’s the brain?

I’m glad, esp. given the recent fires, that this one was reportedly small & related to [hopefully], a friendly BBQ gone awry, versus possible contractor “error” or arson.

This now goes WAY off-topic…perhaps more Rant-appropriate. (Apologies in advance, then.)

I’m struck by the ad, just above the “comment” section here.

And 411, however you might finance this blog, I’m generally all for it, so PLEASE, this is not criticism, just observation.

What I’d label “AARP Marketing.” 411, yet again, you’re cutting edge!

Must say, I find this…I’m not sure: “Over 50? Find Gifts, Gadgets & Lifestyle Solutions….”

Esp. the “Lifestyle Solutions” part of it. Huh? I was afraid to click on the link. The ad shows an obviously senior man w/an antiquated headset sort of linked to his cell-phone. And then an isolated image that might be a jukebox, or some phone or MP3 player made to look like a jukebox. So maybe it’s more marketable to the “over 50 crowd”?

Again, apologies for going so off-topic. Also not sure if this ad shows up on the other threads.
