Was a very fun night, and although I didn’t buy anything (it was meant for “ladies”) it was still a good time. 34 Vendors participated.
See some pictures below.
At LUA this Monday, from 7 to 10pm. Turnout is expected to be HUGE. Men are more than welcome!

I think it sounds like a fun event. A good way of networking with Hoboken females and getting to see some of the vendors wares. But if I were a guy I wouldnt be going.

I’m with Danzig. And it’s Illy. Unless you are talking about something I’m not cool enough to comprehend, in which case, nevermind.

We went here last night for an early dinner, group of 5 girls, and we loved it. We ate from the sunset menu, which is a 3 course price fixed deal for $22 plus tax and tip. Boy, was it worth it. This was some of the best food I’ve ever had anywhere in Hoboken. Plus the drinks were half off! 5 dollar mojitos, 10 dollar pitchers of sangria! Great white sangria!
We started with calamari salads and ended with this chocolate trio dessert, a large warm gooey chocolate lava type cake, scoop of chocolate gelato and scoop of chocolate mousse. we could have been full on the app and dessert alone. for the entrees we each ordered something different so we could have a taste of everything. chicken with cheese mashed potatos, steak with yucca fries, and tilapia with rice. yucca fries were great as mentioned in previous posts. i loved the flavorful sauce on the tilapia! the chicken and the steak were nothing special imo, but the cheese mashed potatoes were very, very tasty (i think once you put cheese in anything it’s pretty much guaranteed to please).
the service at the bar, and at the table were both good.
the hostess was a little flaky/strange, but maybe just my opinion. also there was a small dark hair (why are they always short thick and dark?) in one of the girl’s lychee mojitos, they replaced it promptly.
one of the girls enjoyed dinner so much, she stayed after dinner to reserve a table for fathers day.

See. This is why that Crepe Joint might actually have — believe it or not — a shot of making it in Hoboken.
Is there anybody out there who could translate this into Latin? It could be Hoboken’s culinary motto:
“Happiness Is When You’re Full of Cheese”

Wow, this is so close to my personal motto:
“Happiness Is When I’m Full of Cheese… and Wine”
But I still think their crepe assortment sounds vomitous, and having a MySpace page is, well, cheesy.

I was at the Lua, Girls Night Out and had a great time. There was half priced drinks all night and plenty of good shopping. The place did fill up but it wasn’t annoying. Some men did show up and they sure had the pick of ladies. My guy friend said the odds were about 7:1. I can’t wait until they do it again for the holidays.
