Organic is awful, lost shirts, selectively and conveniently bad english is also a trick he uses. Home run has always treated me well, plus, I like their early drop-box option.

People don’t vote with their feet enough in Hoboken, its true, bad businesses don’t lose customers, so they get worse. 411 should start a five star business recognition rating to recognize those people who run their businesses in Hoboken with an eye towards quality. As Hoboken demographics trend to the slightly older and more discerning, we need to try and improve the quality of the services in our town. After all, we’re all busy and improvements like that help make our lives easier and more enjoyable.

Apple sounds good, but so far. You know what!? Who said only tools discuss dry cleaning? Half the stuff people talk about is BS and doesn’t really matter in the big picture. Actually my husband got diagnosed with a slightly scary illness last week, and you know… this stuff (dry cleaning) really doesnt matter…. but we all are entitled to rant and thats what these open forums are for.
Since we have lived at our house, (about a year) there have been many ladies at Bass. Started with a few Spanish ladies that were there a few months, then an older Asian lady… so sweet, like a grandma, who would tell me to close my coat when I would go there and it was a cold day. THEN…. comes this new lady and I gotta tell ya…. she is a toughie. I am not into her tude. So I am not going there ANY MORE! 🙂 FINITO! 🙂

does ANYONE have a good dry cleaner? i mean, seriously?
Yes, Apple Cleaners on 12th and Washington. They do a great job, rush items when needed, tailor and they’ve never lost or damaged an item in the 2+ years I’ve been going there. They also deliver.
i’ll try them out. apparently i need to stop discussing dry cleaners, cause only tools discuss dry cleaning. that was the info i got in the rant thread at least.

So I figured people make mistakes… and I tried with the dress. But I really regret it. Sometimes we do things out of convenience and don’t think about it. Well I am done with that. I actually tried Home Run this morning. The guy seemed nice & competent and got it. I am praying for the two dresses, one sweater and four dress shirts I dropped off. For me, it was more about the attitude of the woman in the dry cleaner. She had this tude like it was my fault! Doesnt she know about good PR and how people saying her cleaners s-ck on a website like this is the POWER OF PUBLIC RELATIONS…. WORD of MOUTH PR. Has anyone tried the Ling Cleaners on 1st that says its ORGANIC? Let me know. I am looking. But for now… trusting Home Run :|
she gave me a bad attitude too. the older asian woman. the younger latin american woman that was often there was much nicer to deal with. i don’t know if she’s still there though. i’m a few steps away from not taking my shirts anymore and just ironing them myself. i know this is gonna sound a little insensitive, but are there ANY dry cleaners in hoboken that are white people who speak english? or are they all gone? i’d… Read more »
