Police activity uptown

Several readers wrote in asking about the huge police presence near the 13th street ferry terminal.

I was incommunicado this morning, did anyone else notice this or hear anything about it?

“any idea why there is a HUGE state PD presence around the ferry terminal?
I just took my dog out and there are about 30 police on foot complete with tactical vests and K9’s, state police chopper in the air, whole nine.
they don’t appear to be doing much of anything just standing around.”
I see this sort of thing every week or so in and arround the city.
government agencies dont tell us when there is an elevated threat level anymore.
I guess they dont want to alarm us?
last week. as example, there was very elevated police & National Guard presence at the PATH stations.
Who knows what’s up?
not me…
they are keeping it a secret.
Actually they did announce that the National Guard would be at the PATH station and not to be alarmed be their presence. There was no big secret with that one.

Campos showed up, waved his Hoboken Council President badge, and demanded to know what was happening. He also asked a cop to call in a courtesy to Dunkin’ Donuts for a freebie.
