Shrinking products – a hidden cost increase!
Who says the economy is getting better?
I was at Jerry’s Uptown Bagels the other day – and became miffed at this sight. It seems that companies out there – instead of selling the same products at a higher cost, are using the ‘ol “Shrink Ray Gun” instead.
They must think that – if they sell a product, like this Tropicana Orange Juice – in a familiar box, and keep the price consistent – that no one will notice that they give you 12.5% less product inside. That’s the equivalent of a 14.3% price increase per ounce! How long can they keep this racket up?
