Celebrate the Next Generation in the 6th Annual Hoboken Baby Parade, Sunday, May 20

hoboken-baby-parade-may-20-2007.jpgWith the city’s recent population boom, it’s not surprising that this year’s 6th Annual Hoboken Baby Parade on Sunday, May 20, is shaping up to be the biggest yet, with a record number of sponsors. Dating back to an early 20th century tradition, the Baby Parade was revived by the Museum in 2002 as a chance for families to dress up their youngsters and compete for “loving cup” trophies for in three categories: Best Dressed Child, Most Creative Carriage, and Best Dressed Family.

The festivities start at 1 p.m. in Sinatra Park, and all Hoboken children up to 5 years old and accompanied by a caregiver are invited to participate. Registration for the event is free, and families are encouraged to arrive early to sign in. Trophy winners will be featured in the next newsletter and online at www.hobokenmuseum.org. (Parade rain date is June 3.)

The following local businesses are sponsoring trophies for the best-dressed kids in each category in the following levels:

Double Stroller Trophy Sponsors:
Hoboken Pediatrics; Brescia, D’Alberti, Migliaccio, Karr; Dental Associates of Hoboken and Hoboken Pediatric Dentistry; David L. Principe, MD; and the Hoboken Family Alliance.

Trophy Sponsors:
Bambi Baby; Beyond Basic Learning; Hoboken University Medical Center; Dr. George McQuilken and Dr. Raul Aguilar; Mimosa Digital; Park Prep Academy: For Ages 2 1/2-5 Years; Progressive Pediatrics; Riverside Pediatric Group; HOPES, Inc.; and the City of Hoboken.

Stroller Sponsors:
A Whole New World Academy; Empower Your Body; Barefoot in Hoboken at Creative Little Monsters; Big Fun; Club H Fitness; Devotion Yoga; Hair Cult; Hartshorn Portraiture; Johnny Rockets; Monroe Street Movement Space; Shoephoria; Rags to Roses Cleaning Service; Romparoo; and Wee Beasties Bootery.

If justaview is a lawyer, he must have gone to “Bob’s College of Higher Knowledge” school of Law.

Wow… There are some uptight people here…

Christ, they have a parade for drunks, and that’s ok,
but hating on infants?

That’s low.

wow – I didn’t realize PI lawyers could be so mean & bitter. Talk about a classic case of projection. She makes Katie look like an absolute sweetheart. At least Katie cracks a joke every so often or says something meaningful. And you can at least tell she isn’t at all serious.

But townie is just outright mean. I wonder if the other lawyer (Justaview) is any relation. Those 2 could be 2 peas in a pod.[/quote]
Not mean, just a cynic. Not bitter, just no patience.
