Fight 3rd & Harrison

On the Live Police Scanner just overheard a report of a fight at 3rd and Harrison St., with alleged “guns involved”. Not sure if shots were fired or if they were just flailing them around. Cops showed up, and they said they didn’t see anything, but “a large crowd” was milling around. Several calls came in through JCPD via Hudson County 911.

Bottom line: As soon police arrived “nobody knew anything”. How convenient. They are now “gating” these groups (disperse them; send them on their way, etc).

Seems like we gots some an-gry people out tonight. What can they be mad at? That Campos didn’t win and they have to vote again?

THIS should be an even more important focus of the 4th ward race instead of flooding. flooding is a new jersey issue that’s been a problem for at least i know 40 years in hoboken and can be fixed, but not by a single councilperson. Being a female that lives in the area, having been grabbed on the street, plus someone was shot right by my apartment last year (even though it was inherently situational), i’ve been waiting for 4th ward candidates to start talking about safety and lighting in this ward!

What has Campos done for the 4th ward? The HHA is not the only area that needs help. We all get flooded with no plan of action. I am truely tired of empty promises and no action. Also, the only planned park in this area was not done by Campos, but given to him…so as far as parks that is a pipe dream. Who cares about a photo op for a broken water heater. Campos might know how to play the political game better, but what does that mean he knows how to bob and weave problems like many other politicans(Roberts for an example) that have made empty promises to the people of Hoboken. Take a look at the reported crime in Hoboken, the majority of it is in the 4th ward. What is being done about that? I could go on and on, but still I come back to my original question. WHAT HAS CAMPOS DONE FOR THE 4TH WARD???
this is clearly an opportunity to go down while police are present and speak to her voters or potential voters about what is going wrong and what happened and ask the people what they think can be done and see if she couldnt get some votes to sway in her favor….
I don’t think the police would have appreciated having a politician mulling about while they are trying to difuse a potentially dangerous situation. You are out of your mind, blah — if I hear there may be someone with a gun in the middle of a crowd, I head the opposite way!
Campos said he was leaving the Southwest Parks meeting because a family had “no heat and hot water” when it was 70 degrees out. Should she have grabbed a wrench and tagged along?

nope, but go down afterwards speak to people see what happend, what can she do for future, etc etc etc
And we have no proof to confirm that is what he did. He left, we don’t really know where he went once he was out those doors. We do not know which family, in which of the HHA buildings.

Was she supposed to go door to door in each HHA building and

“Hello my name is Dawn Zimmer, do you have heat and hot water?”

Blah wake up, nap time is over, this is reality, not fantasy.

LOL, My water heater broke last month and I should have called Chris Campos. Who knew? Instead I call PSE&G and the fixed the next day.

The original point of the post was there was a major police action going on in HHA involving guns and large groups of people.

Mr. Campos did not say that before he left the meeting but felt the need to use the “heat” excuse which as 411 stated had been reported much earlier that day.

Six years Campos has let HHA go down hill…the best thing anyone could is get into office and work on “fixing” the system has been broken for years.

There is a lot more that needs fixing than an old boiler in HHA.

A little self serving political pandering is not was was needed but it all Mr. Campos ever has to offer.
