Dyeing your dog: Yay or Nay?

Chinese fad of dyeing your pooches – a good idea?

Not sure about you – but I don’t think dogs ever get self-conscious. No matter what kind of haircut I’ve given Hoboken411 Mascot Oscar, he’s always been completely content. Just like his recent summer mohawk he got last week. In fact, I think he’s truly digging the extra attention he gets.

However, after seeing this trend that’s taking off in China – where owners are giving their four-legged friends some serious breed makeovers! My favorite by far, is the Panda – but some other interesting attempts have been made too – like a tiger!

Many opponents of this trend feel that is inhumane to do this to your animal, and that it might in fact harm them in some way.

Do you think it’s too crazy? Or all in good fun?

Oscar could be a Zebra, you know!

I think the only animal look that would work with Oscar is a Zebra. What do you think I should do?

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t dog ownership in China only recently permitted? Can’t they just enjoy their pooches without this crazy crap? I say anyone who dies their pet should get an equal makeover like:

Or make them wear the likely-funky dog suit from Wilfred:

lmao. I”m sure parents are going to have their hands full explaining a zebra and a zebra looking dog to a child——talk about childhood trauma.

If I did this to my dog I’m sure a number of things would go wrong and it would be a disaster. 🙁 Good luck to Oscar if he takes the risk!
