Crimes, Incidents, Fire Calls & Vehicular mishaps

  • 2:00am (7/16/2011): Street Robbery
    Reports of robbery at 1st & Willow – a black male, black shirt, black hat apparently robbed another male. He was apparently armed with a knife. The suspect went north on Willow – HPD en route.
    2:15am Update: Wasn’t a robbery in progress – rather a man who was robbed a few days earlier, and thought he saw the suspect in question.
  • 12:20am (7/16/2011): Passed out club-hopper
    A man passed out in the lobby of the 200 Lounge night club above Tutta Pasta. Is it just me, or are they making drinks stronger these days?
  • 12:05am (7/16/2011): Man overboard over Pier!
    Reports of a man who climbed the fence of Pier C Park – then proceeded to jump into the Hudson. Patrons from the W Hotel called it in. Coast Guard on the way.
    12:15am Update: The man is OK. He’s hanging on to the pilings under the pier. Two life-preservers were tossed down as well. Rescue personnel just now lifted him out.
  • 11:15pm: Loud “Party”
    Neighbors called the police for a “loud party” taking place at 1007 Garden Street. That’s next door to 5th Ward Councilman Peter Cunningham.
