Oscar cools off in the Hudson River
Hoboken411 Mascot Oscar is no dummy – knows how to cool off
Today – I have a lovely video to share with both dog-lovers and residents of Hoboken that like to see aspects of the Mile Square City they don’t often see.
Last week, during our heat wave, I was on one of my many daily walks with the Hoboken411 Mascot Oscar – and he explicitly told me the best way to provide relief to his heat-exhaustion was to go for a “quick swim” (his words, not mine.)
So, despite the clan of geese, the pooch was just thrilled to have the freedom to swim, walk, sniff and chew. I learned at this point why Oscar didn’t go berserk for birds on the water. Because he realized that the birds belonged there, and Oscar was a “house guest.”
Oscar is a fair and distinguished gentleman of the animal world. You can donate tips via the coffee jar to your left!
411 Note: This video is best enjoyed on high-fidelity headphones or a speaker system with a modest bass-response. Otherwise, you’re missing out – I promise you. The best scenes starts at 1:45 in my opinion…
