60 Second Review: Home by the Range

Jersey Cow: Simple, yet delicious sandwich from Home by the Range

With many restaurants out there getting “fancy” in an attempt to differentiate themselves from the competition – sometimes “going back to basics” is just what the doctor ordered.

Take the new Hoboken Lunch Truck Home by the Range. A very simple menu – but they have this sandwich called the Jersey Cow – which is grass-fed beef chuck roast with “Prairie Breeze Cheddar” on a locally baked “dusty” roll.

My God, the beef was tender and flavorful and the shaved cheddar was exceptionally creamy and sharp. I couldn’t put it down. It’s a perfect portion size too, that doesn’t stuff you to the gills, nor does it leave you peckish afterward. And apparently I’m not the only one that feels this way, as Home by the Range owner Will said that repeat customers for these sandwiches are dragging friends along with them to share the goodness!

Highly recommended!

I thought it tasted pretty good but I have to say the portion is pretty small. I would have preferred a bigger sandwich.

Seconded! I hope he doesn’t run out too fast because of the recommendation.
