Hudson County Park Survey
Exclusive HSPC T-shirt giveaway for Hoboken411 Readers
“The Hoboken Southwest Parks Coalition hopes everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend and wants to thank everyone for filling out the Hudson County Open Space Survey we mentioned last week. The free tote-bag giveaway we included in the announcement was a huge success and we look forward to sending out the winners their bags very soon.
If you haven’t filled out the survey, we encourage you to do so and give the county your thoughts on open space and parks.
And if you didn’t know HSPC was giving away tote-bags, you can learn about future promotions, the latest open space news, and specific progress on the SW6 Park we proposed over three and a half years ago by joining our mailing list here.
And the first 10 people to sign up will receive free HSPC t-shirts (XL only) featuring our “I Like Grass” slogan on the front.
Be sure to include your address when you sign up so we know where to send the t-shirt. We’ll notify the winners as soon as possible.
As always, we’re excited for the summer and want to bring the SW6 Park to the Southwest section of Hoboken so our residents can enjoy all the season has to offer without having to leave down to do it. Download the SW6 plan here: http://www.hobokenspc.org/?page_id=75
Time to put in your 2-cents!
The Hoboken Southwest Parks Coalition has forwarded a survey from the Hudson County Planning Board – about what parks and open space are desired in Hoboken. See the link below to participate.
“This is a great opportunity to voice your opinions to the county and let them know what kind of open space you want to see in Hudson County. Yes, this includes Hoboken. HSPC has heard from over a thousand people who want to see recreational and passive park space built in the southwest part of Hoboken as part of the SW6 plan.
We’ve heard people ask for soccer fields, more swings, more water amenities, and then we’ve also heard from those who want more playgrounds, dog runs, and quiet gardens. Well, we know people have very strong opinions on what they believe a park should be and everyone should be heard.
This is your chance to tell the county planning board what you think:
The Hudson County Division of Planning and Open Space Advisory Board are pleased to announce the 2011 Open Space Survey. We welcome public input to guide the Reexamination of the County’s Open Space, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Plan. This survey should take approximately 5 minutes. Both surveys will remain open until July 1, 2011.”
