Hoboken Police & Fire Blotter: 5/25/2011

Hoboken crime and fire action: May 25, 2011

An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Wednesday, May 25, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 1:30am (5/26): Hit and Run
A tractor trailer coming in to abuse Hoboken parked cars just did what they usually do – and struck a lowly residents car at 1st & Madison Streets, and took off. When will these issues with trucks be alleviated? Ever?
  • 10:55pm: Domestic Violence
Several residents phoned HPD to report a domestic violence dispute at the Skyline Condo Building (8th floor). Somehow I doubt it was because “dinner wasn’t ready,” and probably involved Facebook updates or something.
  • 9:50pm: Fuel Leak
HFD responding to 5th St. between Washington & Bloomfield for “a car leaking gasoline.” Don’t throw any cigarette butts down, people!
  • 9:40am: Downtown headaches
Roads closed all over the place downtown due to emergency PSE&G work near City Hall. Maybe they’re pretending to do work, but are actually deleting public records again? You never know these days!
  • 9:20am: Car crash
Minor accident at 5th & Adams.

More updates to come…
