Real Housewives’ Men Prepare for Premier in Hoboken

On Monday, May 16th, Albie Manzo, Christopher Manzo, Joe Gorga, Richie Wakeli and other celebrities from Bravo’s hit series The Real Housewives of New Jersey will prepare for their Season Premier at The Hoboken Man, Hoboken’s only upscale barbershop. NY Giants, NJ Devils and other celebrities may also make an appearance.

The celebrity crew will enjoy haircuts, shaves, facials, manicures, pedicures and other services from The Hoboken Man before heading to The Brownstone for the Premier of Season 3 of the The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“Our Season Premier is a huge night for us,” said Albie Manzo, son of Caroline Manzo. “Prepping at The Hoboken Man gives my family, friends and I an opportunity to relax before the festivities begin.”

“We are excited to have Albie, Chris and the rest of the crew prep for their big night at The Hoboken Man,” says Emily Gonce, Co-Owner of The Hoboken Man. “Our team specializes in making men look their best, especially for special events.”

Help Hoboken Win Rand McNally / USA Today Contest

Did you know?

Hoboken has been listed as a destination city as part of the Best of the Road contest from Rand McNally / USA Today.

You can help Hoboken win by voting and adding your comments in two categories:

If Hoboken is chosen as a winner – we’ll receive “coverage” in the USA Today, as well as a spot in the Rand McNally 2013 Atlas.

Bike to Work Week promotion, free air

Last but not least, next week is National Bike to Work week – to help promote biking to work for the minority of people out there who live close enough to actually ride their bikes to work.

Not sure who pays for all of this – or exactly what the benefit is – but the Hudson Transportation Management Association is a “non-profit” organization (funded by Federal and State tax dollars) that is in existence to promote common sense things that most people should already know.

So by the PATH station on Tuesday, May 17th from 3pm to 6pm, they’ll be offering a “mini-safety seminar” which includes free bike inspections and free air

If this doesn’t float your boat or get you more excited than a squirrel on six shots of espresso – you probably already know that you can get a bike inspection and free air any time in Hoboken at Flo on Wheels uptown near 13th & Washington Streets. (Without the attached “agenda” and political spin.)

Enjoy your evening, Hoboken!

Taking safety instructions from the City of Hoboken is like taking Anger Management classes from Mel Gibson.

As a car owner, bike rider, and pedestrian in Hoboken, I’m all in favor of the bike to work week. Seems like every week there’s another report on this site about a pedestrian getting hit by a car. Maybe I have selective memory, but I don’t recall any stories about a pedestrain getting whacked by a bicyclist. And @411, your assumption that only a minority of people live close enough to bike to work is not accurate, at least as of 2003 – a statistical majority of Americans (29%) live 5 miles or less from their jobs. I’m voting for Pt. Pleasant. No more publicity, please. It just brings more idiots to town.
