Hoboken Police and Fire Blotter: 5/4/2011

Hoboken crime and fire action: May 4, 2011

An ongoing list of various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Wednesday, May 4, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 8:30pm: Hoboken Bumper Cars
More car accidents. This time at Newark & Park. You were in a hurry – now you’re going nowhere fast. Think about it.
  • 7:10pm: Possible Fire
A resident at 925 Garden Street called HFD indicating she believed there was fire in her wall. HFD confirmed a flame coming out of the outlet. They’re now shutting the circuit breaker down, and checking inside the wall to ensure no extention of fire.
  • 6:00pm: Downtown Crash
Another fender bender near the SkyClub at 700 1st. Street.
  • 5:15pm: More people with poor driving skills
A minor car accident at 6th and Washington. We should consider changing the driving tests here in this country.
  • 4:00pm: Another burglary
A woman arrived home at her apartment near 2nd & Madison to discover it had been burglarized in her absence. I’d feel violated too.

More updates to come…
