Hoboken police and fire blotter: 4/21/2011
Hoboken pre-holiday crime and fire action: April 21, 2011
Hoboken is extremely busy for a Thursday afternoon today – with most schools letting out for a half day (and many off next week for spring recess). Traffic is out of control, and water main repairs in midtown are exasperating the problem. Plus, Cake Boss maniacs have been flooding the Mile Square adding to the chaos. Be on guard today!
- 7:30pm: Parked Car REVOLT
There must be a conspiracy against parked cars here in Hoboken! One woman struck a parked car downtown by accident and another driver struck TWO parked cars near 4th and Garden – and high-tailed it out of town. An HPD lookup on the license plate given by a passerby came up “no record.” Probably someone from City Hall trying to get people to surrender their cars… damnation.
- 6:40pm: Connecticut idiot waits on Cake Boss line for FIVE HOURS – gets ticket
Some broad from the “Constitution State” felt so desperate to visit Cake Boss – that she blocked (or parked in) a handicapped spot… for five hours. HPD gave her a ticket.
- 6:30pm: Pharmacy delivery kid robbed?
A kid working for Willow Pharmacy at 9th & Willow was robbed while making a delivery. Turned out to be a prank. I remember pranks being goofy and fun-spirited. Why must today’s pranks mimic crimes?
- 4:30pm: Bad boys, bad boys – whatcha gonna do?
Hoboken VICE made two arrests – one at 7th & Sinatra (near the skate park), and one at 4th & Sinatra. Those damn kids dealing drugs in a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!
- 2:30pm: Car accident with injuries
505 Washington Street, two cars violently collided, resulting in at least one injury (ambulance required) – and both vehicles were rendered undriveable and tow trucks were dispatched.
