Tony’s Hot Dog Cart

Best Chili Dog in Hoboken!

Born & raised Hoboken resident Neil Orefice and his partner Tony are well known in the community.

Tony’s Hot Dog Cart was a midtown fixture (near 5th & Clinton) for the past few years, and has relocated to a nice spot uptown this spring (13th & Hudson).

Neil, who was an electrician for many years, got badly hurt on the job over in Jersey City a few years back, getting shocked by 240 volts, and falling 20 feet to the ground. He has pins holding his entire right side together! Additionally, was short-changed any workers compensation from his injury, when the owner of the company he worked for skipped the country and fled to Santo Domingo to avoid restitution! Bummer!

But despite his bad luck, Neil has an extremely upbeat outlook on life, and loves running the hot dog cart (nearly seven days a week!) He sells tasty Sabrett hot dogs, and has some of the best chili toppings in town!

A nice friendly addition to uptown Hoboken. Pay him a visit to say hello! (Ask him about the upcoming cart “upgrades” as well!)

Go Yankees… and Neil and Tony! Haven’t had a chance to try the hot dogs but concur– these gentlemen are definitely gems in town, very kind to passerby including the dogs. And Neil’s story just goes to show that, in spite of circumstances, we still choose who we want to be. Rock on.

Me and my friend were going to the Yankee game last Thursday, and stopped by that cart. Neil and Tony both talked to us for a little while, just about the Yankees and whatnot, they were both awesome guys and we all had chili cheese dogs and they were awesome. Everyone needs to stop by there and pay them a visit, you wont be sorry!
