Hoboken crime and fire action: April 11, 2011

Various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls for Monday, April 11, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.

  • 2:00am: Retail Windows Smashed
    A resident notified a Hoboken Police Officer on patrol – that the windows at Lepore’s Chocolate on 4th Street between Washington & Bloomfield were smashed.
  • 1:30pm: Another Home Invasion
    A resident was startled when a man entered her apartment at 63 Bloomfield Street this afternoon. The man was described as Hispanic, around 5’6″ and around 160lbs. The woman was so startled, that’s the best description she could give.
  • 11:45am: Child badly injured
    A parent called HPD to report her child had been injured near 310 Jefferson St. “bone protruding from chest.” EMS en route, the cause of the injuries are unknown at the moment.
  • 10:30am: Water Main Break
    Road work on 10th Street between Bloomfield & Garden caused a water main break. Some residents in the immediate vicinity will be without water when they shut the main down for repair. United Water en route.
