why do business owners put such little consideration into a business name? Anything with a Z on the connotates a lack of class. My girlfriend saw one of the flyers (Jefferson street was covered with them over the weekend) and said “Oh, there’s a strip club opening in the neighborhood?”

Is that really the imagine you want to convey in uptown Hoboken which is mostly middle/upper class and families?

I beg to differ with you. I don’t think there is anything wrong with putting a z on the end of a business name. I think it adds a bit of whimsy. I also live uptown Hoboken. There is Bangz salon on Washington St. They have been in business successfully for many years. I was originally going to call my petsitting business FuzzyNuts. I actually thought it was a cute name. I allowed people to talk me out of using that name. I settled on naming my business Pawz&Clawz Petsitting Service. There is another business with the same name. The only difference is the other is spelled with an S.
why do business owners put such little consideration into a business name? What a great place! Everyone is friendly and accommodating. In the past I’ve only gone to salons in NYC but since this salon is so close to home I decided to check it out and now have visited twice. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The place is very nice. Bottom line though, is that my hair and eyebrow looks great and I will continue to go back. I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

They actually had a grand opening on April 2nd, and it was excellent. For the first 50 customers all services were at half price. I bought almost everything. Since we had such a harsh winter. A makeover was due. Then I found out Bumi who does Threading The Best ever (previously form Solares) was back in town and was part owner I was so excited.
The facial with Norma was excellent, massage with Wanda was unbelievable, my daughter and I had our haircuts with Loren, that guy is a artist when it comes to cutting hair. And I’ll let you know how my spray tan with Yolanda works out. This place is great. You should all go give it a try before you criticise ( i forgot how to spell) Go see for yourself.
Good luck to all of you at Dream Z- Where dreams are made of.
As of 3/28, title says coming soon. When did it actually open? and you already went twice?
People shouldn’t judge a business too much because of it’s name if their service is extraordinary. I have seen Bhumi & Kiran’s working style and their way of handling service and i believe they will be excellent at every service Dreamz Salon will have to offer. I am looking forward to my appointment!
They actually had a grand opening on April 2nd, and it was excellent. For the first 50 customers all services were at half price. The put their stupid flyer on my car’s windshield and then it rained so it became affixed to the glass and took a while to scrape off. Great marketing move there.

It’s interesting how new users come out to plug a new business and then never post ever again anywhere else on Hoboken411.

Agreed. They’re most likely owners, employees or have some interest in the business. In any case, I’m not saying a business that spells its name ending in “Z” can’t be successful. I’m just saying its not upscale. Especially since the flyer/postcard I got on the windshield of my car looked like it was advertising a strip club.

I was so excited to hear that Bhumi was working at this salon. I was her customer for years when she worked at Solaris. She is a true artist when it comes to threading and shaping eyebrows. She’s highly skilled in fixing overplucked brows aswell. Her temple massage is wonderful. You will be extremely pleased with the service.
