Zach the cat has gone missing!

2/24/2011:

Have you seen a tabby cat with a lazy eye?

Hoboken411 reader Kristi is very interested in helping Zach the cat’s owner find him! These signs were posted uptown near 12th and 13th Streets in the Washington / Hudson area. Call (617)851-6739 if you spot him!

“I saw a few of these signs uptown in Hoboken starting yesterday and felt bad… My friend called the guy and told him we’d try to help. There’s something sweet about a guy who names his cat even though the kitty doesn’t really respond when called! Maybe you can put it on your site and someone will see the orange cat? The kitty’s got to be somewhere. If anyone can reunite owner and cat, 411 can! The signs say that the orange cat got loose while the owner was taking him to the car a few days ago. I called him, and the kitty is still missing. If enough people keep their eyes open, watching their backyards and under cars, maybe they’ll see something. Thanks!”

so glad to hear you found Zach: I would be heartbroken if I lost my cat.

Thank God Zach was found and wasn’t in the streets for today’s insanity! So happy for you!

Yes, Zach was found, and a great thanks to everyone that responded to this post, my Craigslist ad and fliers. As I mentioned before I am completely in awe of the volume of response Hoboken residents provided. I was lucky enough to have hung a flier inside the apartment entrance of the couple who spotted him. He is much skinnier but otherwise no worse for wear, I will be getting him a rabies shot (he was a couple months past due) though.

OH, you should also put an email address on your posters. You have just a number and some people may just be too lazy to call. Maybe start a gmail address findzach@gmail or something easy to remember? It’s free!
