Hoboken City Council Meeting: 2/16/2011

2/17/2011 Update:

Meeting lasted over six and a half hours – see video archives after the jump.

Hoboken Council Meeting of February 16, 2011

Get ready for a marathon city council meeting tonight. Gobs of ordinances and resolutions, long-winded reports from city directors, sub-committee reports and an astonishing & unprecedented number of “executive orders” from Mayor Dawn Zimmer.

Ironically – some of those “executive orders” include Ethics Reform – despite the long list of unethical actions by Zimmer herself. One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest needs a sequel!

Review the meeting documents below and swing back at 7pm for live video stream. (PS – over/under for tonight’s meeting is 12:30am.)

  • RESOLUTIONS (256 pages! – a new bloated city record! But was reduced to 197 by H411 – removing a 60 page contractor proposal filled with useless fluff.)

Six hours of meetings to run a one square mile town. Unbelievable, did they get the tax rate lowered? open the soccer field, renovate the community center for the seniors to have air conditioning, give the children some new basketballs. Time to take to Church Park for a revolution.
