60 Second Review: Re Juice a Nation
Stick with the juices
Re.Juice.a.Nation (64 Newark St.) is known for some pretty good smoothies and juices, just like the name indicates.
I actually went there the other day looking for a particular Hale and Hearty Soup – but they didn’t have it (you never really know what the soup is gonna be, right?) Instead, I decided to “live a little,” and experiment with one of their pre-packaged sandwiches. What was I thinking?
With all the great sandwich shops in Hoboken (Biancamano’s, Fiore’s, The Taco Truck, Vito’s, La Isla) – I said “why not?” I chose the last remaining roast beef sandwich – because I assumed it was their most popular one. For close to $8 – you got a pretty average sandwich. A heaping mound of lettuce, and a few slices of roast beef, onions, and some horseradish dressing.
Nothing to write home about. Stick with the juices, unless you’re jonsing for a quick fix, and every other place in Hoboken has lines like Carlo’s Bakery.
