Pedestrians: Please stay off the streets!

2/8/2011:

Walking on streets endangers more than just yourself!

Hoboken411 has received quite a few emails about the nincompoops who decide to walk (or jog) IN THE STREET along Sinatra Drive.

This happens all year round (especially with the runners – some even with baby strollers!) – but more recently, folks have been spotted walking in the street on the south/west side (with all the snow that hasn’t been cleared off the sidewalks for the past five weeks by the city.)

This is bad for obvious reasons now more than any other time due to the slippery roads, and endanger oncoming traffic as well, since vehicles have to veer into the other lane to safely pass the pedestrian.

So have some common sense people!

“Please tell me everything about “my relationships” since you claim that everything you have said is true.”

I shouldn’t have pluralized “relationship”. You’re so right.

“Sit mooshu sit. Good doggie. LOL!!!!”

Ah, an avid exclamation point user– my favorite.

In any case, you must have me confused with your partner. Allow me to remind you that I’m not her.

Happy weekend!

Imagine that…I only had to go as far as your last post about Kim Kardashian.

“You forgot to mention the *enviable* plastic surgery, diet pill consumption, and all the photoshopping it takes to make her look the way she does in magazines and online. But still very, very funny… ”

All very nice complimentary stuff….I guess it makes you feel better to rip into someone who is in the public eye who you dont know at all.

Um, she puts her vagina out there for the world to see. Of course we all know her, idiot.

Everything I’ve said is true. And FYI, you and Kim K. have a lot in common– you’re both popularity whores.

Now take your degree in A-Hole and shove it.

The end.
Imagine that…I only had to go as far as your last post about Kim Kardashian.“You forgot to mention the *enviable* plastic surgery, diet pill consumption, and all the photoshopping it takes to make her look the way she does in magazines and online. People always say that dog owners end up with pets that resemble them. I’m guessing you own a toy poodle. They’re small, ugly, have napolean complex, are constantly nipping at your ankles, and never shut the f up. Sit mooshu sit. Good doggie. LOL!!!!
Um, she puts her vagina out there for the world to see. Of course we all know her, idiot.Everything I’ve said is true. “The problem is that Hoboken17 gets off on telling people how stupid and immature they are.”

😯

Not sure if you’re aware of this, but that seems to be the M.O. of everyone who posts to this site.

It’s a matter of degree. While just about everyone is guilty of an occasional snark, there are some who just cannot rise above trifles. They hammer home the same point again and again, seeking revenge over imagined slights. Ha ha! True… although some of us initiate, others finish.
“The problem is that Hoboken17 gets off on telling people how stupid and immature they are.” Not sure if you’re aware of this, but that seems to be the M.O. of who posts to this site.
Nope, animal_lover is very intelligent, sensible and articulate.

The problem is that Hoboken17 gets off on telling people how stupid and immature they are. Makes him feel better to be a psychologically manipulative a-hole. That’s why his relationships don’t work out, as you can very well tell from his postings. But I wish him good luck anyway in his current one. Hope it lasts longer than another five minutes.

it amazing how much sht you just randomly make up and write as if its fact…..how would you possibly know anything about my relationships? just go away. i wasnt even talking you. god, you’re such a baby.

p.s. go back and read some of your posts. a large majority of them involve you on your high horse telling people how stupid they are, how to do things the right way, and telling people to go live somewhere else if they dont like what you have to say. can you say HYPOCRITE?

go away
Nope, animal_lover is very intelligent, sensible and articulate. The problem is that Hoboken17 gets off on telling people how stupid and immature they are. one thing i can say is,very rarely will a stroller mom thank an indiviual for stopping and moving out of the way so that they can pass on our snow and ice filled sidewalks, nannys are even worse….they really do just keep moving like there the only one out there…not all are in this catergory, but from my expierence of walking just about everywhere in hoboken supports this.

Kaiser, the truth is that there is an appalling lack of civility in Hoboken – period. There isn’t one group that can claim the higher ground because there are too many examples of each group going ‘full jackass’. Let’s review: 1. Moms w/ strollers, blocking the sidewalk. 2. Runners and bikers barreling down the crowded sidewalk. 3. Dogs crapping everywhere and owners refusing to pick up the waste. 4. Clueless pedestrians strolling into oncoming traffic. 5. Oncoming traffic not stopping at stop signs. 6. Mayors accepting bribes at the local diner. 7. City Council members whose fathers STILL haven’t paid back the money they owe our fine town. 8. Countless iPod-listeners/texters wandering aimlessly off the curb, aimlessly through the PATH station, aimlessly through life, ricocheting off people, trashcans, cars, buses, PATH trains, etc. 9. Friday night drunk fights. The list goes on. My point: it’s pretty easy to single out a particular group and to call them out on an annoying behavior, but the reality is that when you pack ‘X’ number of self-centered assholes into a mile-square space, bad behavior – ANYONE’S bad behavior – is going to stick out like a sore thumb. I have two potential solutions: 1. Next week try and focus on all the good things you see people do in town. Better yet: try and spot some of the group you hate the most doing something good. Believe it or not, it’s not that difficult. I’ve seen stroller moms give dog owners water bottles,… Read more »

I’ve had the same problem when I’ve had to pull my stroller to the side to let non-stroller people pass. They don’t acknowledge it, they keep moving like no one was there.

I’ve also pulled over to let dog owners, hogging the whole sidewalk with their really really long leashes, pass by. Still, nada.

So I think it’s safe to say that most people do not have good manners. It’s not one group that’s being impolite, it’s most people.
one thing i can say is,very rarely will a stroller mom thank an indiviual for stopping and moving out of the way so that they can pass on our snow and ice filled sidewalks, nannys are even worse….they really do just keep moving like there the only one out there…not all are in this catergory, but from my expierence of walking just about everywhere in hoboken supports this.
