Hertz Corner Cars Parking FAIL

1/24/2011:

People have no cars for a reason in Hoboken?

I keep joking around that many folks don’t own or lease a car for a reason – because they’re too inept to operate the sophisticated motor vehicles of our day.

Coincidentally – the Hertz on Demand Connect Corner Cars in Hoboken are sort of proving my semi-serious joke true.

With parking failures with bollards (more than once) and blatantly “out of spot” incidents, you might think that a NEW drivers test would be in order before they issue accounts to anyone with a drivers license!

The latest one comes from 411 reader Michael – who noticed this botched parking job near 4th and Bloomfield. Tiny smart car or not – the vehicle is in violation of a parking ordinance (too far from the curb) – and should receive a summons (it stuck out into the roadway too.)

The people partaking in this program seem to be disrespecting rules. This spot is plenty big enough for this lilliputian-sized thing!
