Various noteworthy incidents, crimes and fire-calls throughout the day for Monday, January 31, 2011. This post may be updated and “bumped” periodically.
- 7:40pm: Bus vs. Car
More vehicular bang ’em up in the Mile Square. Bus accident at 15th and Clinton.
- 7:20pm: DOA
Reports of a person “DOA” in an apartment at 300 Marshall Drive.
- 6:20pm: ANOTHER hit & run
Newark & Park Ave. – no reports of injuries. What ever happened to accountability?
- 4:20pm: We can’t drive
More car accidents, this time at 1st and Hudson. No injuries reported. Traffic lights, straight roads, and smart phones. I don’t see a problem, do you?
- 3:10pm: More Moving Day Blues…
A moving van supposedly just struck two parked vehicles near 2nd and Bloomfield Streets. Moving on – but leaving the wreckage behind…
- 1:20pm: People get testy with all the snow
A street dispute near 320 Adams St., involving a moving truck. A very bad time to move in or out of Hoboken!
- 9:30am: Fire Truck clips car
On 8th St. between Grand and Adams – a Hoboken Fire Truck swiped a parked car, knocking the mirror off. Car probably parked too far into the roadway.
- 8:30am: Downtown Fender Bender
A minor accident at Observer and Harrison. No injuries reported. Traffic is already at epic proportions – Imagine what downtown Hoboken will be like when tons of new buildings come thanks to NJ Transit?
- 8:15am: Hit and Run (again)
9th and Washington. Woman’s car undriveable.
