Parking Offenses in front of Zimmer Condo

Ah yes – the first Hoboken411 reader-contributed “Two Words” entry – from Jay:

“Living downtown, I walk past Observer and Madison streets all the time, near where Mayor Zimmer lives. Did you know that almost each time I do, there are usually a string of cars double parked right in front. How can you run an entire city if you can’t fix the problems right in front of your own house?”

Today’s caption is Two Words: “Mayoral Mediocrity!”

I would like to see the vehicles (ie, high speed strollers and bikes) ticketed. One can get injured by these on the sidewalks of Hoboken!
back in the day they would ticket & tow your car if you didn’t move for the sweeper…Maybe they should start that practice again that will really give ya something to cry about!!!
Business double parking vs. political: You have a Ital. deli on Adams, a clam bar on Madison St. and a famous pizza place on Washington St…and of course, you have the cake boss with the alley………… 😛

And there always double parked cars in front of The Russo Civic association. On the rare occasion when the cops did come to make noise so that people would move (the didn’t give out tickets) Michael Russo came out to move one of the cars. I saw this once, my husband saw it once.

So do you really think anyone else in the City Council would do a better job?

Double parked cars are clearly her fault. I hear Beth Mason personally tows double parked cars on Hudson Street. double parked cars are a part of Hoboken…get used to it,a cop chases one away another one appears…don’t like to get blocked in? park a few extra inches from the curb…I bet you get a ticket! 😆

Yes!! What we need is a mayor with full police powers and towing ability. And one that makes sure her neighborhood is better served than all others! That will be great!
