Kooky – going there Sat night for the first time and will let you know. We were going to go to Brass Rail but when their pre fixe is $29 year round and they’re offering $30 for restaurant week – didn’t really see the value in that. Merchants seemed like it was actually offering a value for rest week plus it looked really cute on the web site.

Anyone been to the Merchant? I have a friend who frequents there (knows the owners) but I have never checked it out. Looks cute, and I do know one of the owners who is really lovely.

I agree that Amandas is the only place that seems to have embraced the Restaurant Week idea, which is not to offer the cheapest food you have and still make a good profit, but rather to entice people who would not normally go to try your place so they might come back. In that way, you should be trying harder than the old chicken breast and pasta dish. Amandas is the only place that seems to be putting effort into this. Shades actually had only one dessert- ice cream. Gee, thanks. Didn’t mean to put you out.

What great deals !

Too bad when all of our Hoboken City Hall directors went down to this years boondogle in Atlantic City couldn’t
get these kind of meal deals.

The on going Jersey Journal expose of big spending by Hoboken officials puts dinner bills at over $160 per person.

Exposed in the press (Hoboken Reporter and The Jersey Journal) only then did Mayor Roberts reject $21,000.00 worth of party harty expense reports for the Atlantic City blow out.

Funny how that works. 🙄
