Hoboken Breakfast Nuggets: 1/5/2011
Homeless man with an amazing voice!
You see that panhandler named Ted Williams in Columbus, Ohio who apparently has this incredible radio voice? Well, the story and video below is about to go ultra-viral – and now he’s practically a lock for getting his life back on track (one local Ohio radio station is offering him 10 grand for voice-over work). However, it’s up to him that he doesn’t screw up and go back to his booze and drugs. And I guess for radio work, you don’t really need good teeth – unless they cause a whistle or lisp.
Mega Millions Jackpot not so mega anymore
Two winners will share the top prize of $355 Million dollars in yesterday’s Mega Millions Jackpot – and are nowhere close to Hoboken. The winning numbers were 4, 8, 15, 25 and 47, with 42 being the Mega Ball number.
The two lucky tickets were sold in Idaho and Washington State. Back to work you lemmings!
Fresh coat of snow possible this weekend
At the present time – forecasters are predicting perhaps a few inches of snow this weekend in the Hoboken area. Computer models are waffling a bit – but the general consensus as of press time here – is that the brunt of the snow will be to our north. You know Hoboken411 will make the necessary updates in case that prognosis changes!
Additionally, other weather enthusiasts seem pleased that the northeast will have favorable conditions during the next couple weeks for upcoming weather systems to also deliver more snow. So we’ll have to hang on and see what happens!
