Vandalism spreading in Hoboken

12/21/2010:

Uptown Hoboken areas seeing increased vandal action

The car window smashing and GPS-stealing incidents definitely seem to be on an upward trend as of late in Hoboken. Several car windows were broken recently along Hudson Street uptown.

Another useless crime that seems to be “expanding it’s borders” is graffiti vandalism.

One Hoboken411 reader sent these photos in yesterday and said: “These were taken on Castle Point Terrace and also at the part of 9th street right near Castle Point Terrace. At least 2 homes were spray painted by the dregs of society, as you can see. As far as I know, these are fresh today.”

Is this because of the economy? Or because we truly don’t have enough Police Officers patrolling the streets?
