Hoboken Movie – Polycarp

polycarp.jpgJeez. I gotta get out of the house a little earlier. Saw this snippit from the Journal. They started filming this month, and were doing a murder investigation scene by the waterfront this morning.

Polycarp will be released on July 1, 2007 at the Hoboken International Film Festival.

The movie plot from imdb.com: “Through a series of horrific murders, the occult, biblical prophecy and sex clash in a melee of gore and mystery, with psychiatrists, attorneys, homicide detectives and rock stars all being suspects.” Hoboken police captain Anthony Falco is listed as one of the “Executive Producers” for the movie, and he has a part in the film, playing a character called “Francis”.

It’s also being filmed in other locations outside Hoboken, such as Paterson, Union City and Los Angeles. The movie also stars familiar actor Charles Durning, Beverly Lynne (a notable bikini video actress), and many others.

Polycarp is being produced by Justice for All Productions, with an estimated budget of $250,000.

I suppose they used this title because Polycarp is recognized as a saint in both the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches. See the Wikipedia article.

I was watching TV the other day and saw some really bad movie that had like every other scene on the Hoboken waterfront.

I think it was called “Mail Order Bride.” I believe Artie Lange was in it, too.

WOW, sounds like a winner. I hope all of the production vehicles are parked legally and that he has all of the proper film permits.
