More A.M. Tater Tots…

Christmas Terror Plot or worthless scare tactic?

You never know what to believe in the mainstream media these days. This latest report said that two captured insurgents said there was some kind of plan for attacks on U.S. soil. Is it a credible threat? If so – what would be the target(s)? If not – why are they trying to scare everyone? To pass more bloated government laws and regulations?

Zippity Do Da!

Hoboken411 reader Sinan sent this tip in – that Zip Car just got $21 million dollars in investment capital recently.

“Zipcar didn’t detail what it plans to do with the fresh capital, other than to say it intends to use the proceeds to fund working capital needs and finance fleet growth, and to continue its geographic expansion.”

Maybe they’re just deep in debt or looking to expand – who knows. But Hertz on Demand Connect isn’t the only other car-sharing program in the USA. You also have others, like Mint and Car2Go – which actually allows per-minute rentals ($0.35 per minute. Imagine that? A round-trip pickup from uptown to the PATH would be less than a one-way cab ride!)

Reason why some folks should never spawn

Had this tab open in my browser for the past six weeks – and I finally want to close it out. However, you might recall some really dumb people down in Florida, who tried selling a baby! A washed up “grandma” attempted to pawn her grandson – not only to make cash – but to cheat her own daughter. This bag-of-bones not only had a criminal history – but won $1 million dollars in the lottery and blew it in less than two years.

You can’t make this stuff up!

Weekend Weather Outlook: Snow or No?

The “big weekend storm” they were talking about earlier in the week is still up in the air – so keep that in mind if you have travel plans Sunday into Monday.
