Wind & Rain wreaking havoc in Hoboken

12/1/2010:

Wind causing damage in the Mile Square

Updating the Severe Weather we’re having in Hoboken – the winds and rain are picking up once again as this low pressure system makes it’s way through.

The Tucker Drugs sign at 10th and Washington became dislodged from the wall – and alarm systems are being off-set across town. Joy!

Holy Crap! I can’t believe the tree fell over. Is that two pictures of the same tree or did another tree fall somewhere else?

Better that the tree fall over than the branches break, dangling above head as “widow makers”
Holy Crap! I can’t believe the tree fell over. Is that two pictures of the same tree or did another tree fall somewhere else?
NO worries everyone will still know what time it is. Our $6 million dollar clock tower is made of steel, this time it won’t blow over so there will be no reason to be late for work!

Tomorrow Mayor Zimmer will bring reporters on a tour inspecting all of Hoboken’s hanging signs. She’ll pose for pictures and forget about the problem by nightfall. A year from now a giant sign will fall on a car. Zimmer will claim she knew nothing and put out a press release blaming all 37 Mayors before her for allowing signs to hang on buildings in the first place.
