See invite details here – and more about the calendar below:

“The 4th annual Liberty Tails Calendar features 6 dogs and 6 cats that have been rescued and placed in homes by the Liberty Humane Society. Each month highlights a heart-warming adoption story and a distinctive photograph that brings out the beauty and personality of the former shelter animal turned loving family pet.

For the 4th year in a row, The Liberty Tails Calendar is produced solely by the generosity of volunteers including professional pet photographer, Shaina Fishman who donated her time and expertise to photograph the animals for the calendar.

Liberty Tails Calendars can now be purchased and shipped through Liberty Humane Society website for $14.99 plus shipping and handling or they can be picked up at the shelter, with discounts available for each additional calendar ordered. Every dollar from the sales of Liberty Tails 2011 Calendar goes directly to the continued care and shelter of the in-need animals at the Liberty Humane Society. Consider ordering these calendars today for holiday gifts for your family, friends and loved ones, you will be giving in more ways than one.

The Liberty Humane Society is celebrating its 12th year of providing shelter care in Jersey City and recently added Hoboken. The shelter cares for a variety of animals, including pure breed and mixed breed dogs, kittens, older beautiful cats, and hopes to find forever homes for all of them.”

Adopt Hades: The nicest pit ever!

Hoboken Dog Lover Laura Lenoci is back with another pooch she’s fostering: Hades.

“Hades came to me from the shelter. He was given up by his owner who was only 16 and his parents weren’t to happy that he decided to bring home a dog with out discussing it with them… That being said, Hades is an AMAZING dog. He was only in the shelter for a short amount of time because he got very sad and stopped eating. Since I’ve had him he’s been great. I have a lab chow mix that he gets along with very well. He’s totally mellow for a puppy. Loves to sleep on his back, covered in couch cushions. He is house trained and crate trained. He gets along with other dogs and loves kids. He is very gentle and quite sensitive when disciplined as most Pit Bulls can be. He currently weighs 42pds and I’m continuing to gain weight.

To meet him, give me a call 973-573-1315.

Cats not left out either!

On Saturday, November 27th (11am to 4pm) – Liberty Humane has a special “High 5 for $5 Felines” adoption event.

Love your four-legged friends!
