A few various tidbits that Hoboken411 has poked around with in the last week…
Still much debate about the booze in our life
Alcohol, if consumed responsibly, may not be such a bad thing. However, the problem is that it’s not very easy for people to control themselves. A few articles that crossed my monitors this past week:
- Alcohol worse than crack, heroin: Fox News had a report about how booze is worse. Go figure.
- All sorts of effects on your brain and body: The folks over at LifeHacker compiled a list of various effects the juice has on men & women, how it interacts with drugs, your sleep and sex life.
Videos: Airport Scanners
The big buzz in the news last week was the invasive airport scanners the TSA is instituting across the country. However, only once source “followed the money,” and found out that “Spooky Dude” George Soros had his hand in this as well. You really ought to do some research about this guy, and his massive realm of influence worldwide. Just sayin’.
Of course, as any media story gets mass traction – so do the parodies, spoofs and more. Below is a prank call to the TSA – from a guy who just wants the “fondling job” to get his rocks off.
Video: Awesome Van Halen Who Cover
I have always loved Van Halen, as well as The Who. I stumbled across this excellent cover of Won’t Get Fooled Again that VH did back in 1993. Incredible guitar work from Eddie!
Did you know that cool synthesizer sound from “Won’t get fooled again” was never played live? Since the sound was so hard to duplicate, at each concert The Who always played the song along with a pre-recorded track of the synth sound. Below is a video of Pete Townshend explaining the technique behind that revolutionary sound.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
