Peculiar Hoboken Rubbish

Odd Hoboken Garbage: City Morgue Bag!

Several Hoboken411 readers tipped me off about this odd piece of garbage laying on the corner of 11th and Hudson for just under an hour late the other night.

I mean who has a bag labeled “City Morgue” in their house? (Unless they work there and nicked body bags so they didn’t have to waste money on Hefty Bags? Their equivalent of stealing office supplies?) Either that, or it was a leftover Halloween prop, who knows.

I did kick the bag, and it didn’t feel like a dead body to me (not that I know what kicking a dead body is like…)

That’s funny. You can buy those bags for about $20 from Halloween prop supply companies. Maybe they ran out of Hefty bags after a party and used the next best thing.

There was a dog hit by a car about a month ago on 2nd & Clinton and the guy that came to pick up the dog had one of these bags (not saying this is a dead dog in the bag) but it seemed shady the guy got out of an old Toyota …kind of weird

I’d imagine a body would be pretty heavy. And I’d be more scared if a hand popped out of that bag and grabbed my ankle :).

In any case, why put a body out front when there’s a perfectly good river to dump it in?
