Tree Barn
4/18/2007 Update:
The Tree Barn on 6th and Willow now does a lot more than Christmas trees and decorations. Check it out!
Will stop by later this week to possibly pick something up that can freshen my place up a little.
See last years xmas offerings after the break.

12/4/2006:
Where do you buy your Christmas trees and decorations from?
The undisputed King of Christmas gear in Hoboken is most certainly the Tree Barn, which is set up on 6th and Willow. They sell all sorts of stuff in addition to their estimated 2,500 trees which are sold each season. They even have an 18 foot tree if you live in a giant loft or even want to set it up outside in your backyard.
They’ve been In business now for over 25 years! From the over three thousand bows they make by hand starting in September, to the delivery and setup of your tree, they’ll do what it takes to make your holidays a festive one.
See more pictures after the break.

If this place is run by the same guy who used to sell the trees stay clear of him he’s robbing you. Those trees can be bought for 10 to 25 dollars tops and he gets them by the truck load. I can only imagine what his markup on plants is going to be. Go in and take a look at the prices anyone with half a brain will know if they seem high. If it is him he works for the carpentry division of Hoboken and also runs a Contracting business. Go figure that one out for yourself. (Can you say line your pockets? I knew you could.)

Metropolitan Plant Exchange sounds good, but what if I don’t have any old plants to trade in?

Is there any other place to get a tree in Hoboken? I called up Tree Barn and they said there smaller trees go for $60 to $75 which seems a bit high.

I was at Home Depot in Seacacus the other day and got a massive 7 ft tree for $19.97 plus tax I didn’t open it there so was waiting for the “suprise” when I got home. Let’s just say I have a beautiful full tree, and was pleasantly suprised! For that ammount of cash I thought I had a loser! Very Very happy here!

I went the Lowes… They’re done selling Christmas stuff already. The little they have left is all 50% off.

Man, I remember when I lived in Colorado, I’d swing past the Safeway and buy my 7ft tree for $15. That was if I was too lazy that year to walk 50 ft into the woods and cut it myself.
